Every great society starts with a simple idea.
The idea behind Your Cigar Guy wasn’t born from a desire to sell cigars. It was born from a desire to create meaningful experiences.
Like many people, I discovered that some of life’s best conversations happen when people slow down. Away from the noise, away from the rush, away from the constant demands of everyday life. A good cigar has a way of doing that. It encourages people to sit, relax, reflect, and connect.
What started as a personal appreciation for cigars soon became something much bigger.
I realized that cigars were not the main attraction. The real value was the atmosphere they created. The conversations. The laughter. The stories shared between people who may have never met under different circumstances.
That’s when the vision for Your Cigar Guy began to take shape.
I wanted to create a society where people could come together regardless of their background, profession, or experience with cigars. A place where newcomers felt welcome, enthusiasts felt at home, and everyone could enjoy good company.
In a world where many people feel disconnected despite being more connected online than ever before, genuine human interaction has become increasingly valuable.
Your Cigar Guy exists to bring people back together.
Our events are designed to be more than gatherings. They are experiences built around good cigars, good people, and great energy. Whether it’s a rooftop overlooking the city, a lounge filled with conversation, or a sunset gathering among friends, the goal remains the same: create moments that people remember.
As YCG grows, so does the vision.
We’re building more than a brand.
We’re building a society.
A society that celebrates connection, conversation, personal growth, and shared experiences.
Through events, partnerships, media content, and future initiatives, our mission is to create South Africa’s home for cigar culture and one of the most welcoming communities in the country.
To every member, supporter, partner, and friend who joins us on this journey, thank you.
You are not just attending an event.
You are helping build something special.
Welcome to Your Cigar Guy.
Good Cigars. Good People. Great Energy.
