WHAT DO I ENJOY?

01  QUORUM PETIT

THE STORY

Quorum comes from J.C. Newman Cigar Co., a family cigar company whose history dates to 1895. Handmade in Nicaragua, Quorum was created around a simple idea: an accessible handmade cigar that can be enjoyed regularly.

FUN FACT

The least expensive cigar in this collection comes from a cigar company with more than a century of history.

TALKING POINT

“A great reminder that an interesting cigar doesn't have to start with an intimidating price.”

02  DON TOMAS LINDOS

THE STORY

Don Tomas represents the straightforward side of traditional Central American cigar culture: approachable tobacco character without needing rarity, elaborate packaging or a famous price tag to tell its story.

FUN FACT

Some of the most useful cigars for discovering your palate are the ones that don't try to overwhelm it.

TALKING POINT

“This lets you concentrate on the smoking experience rather than the hype.”

03  FLOR DE NICARAGUA ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Flor de Nicaragua comes from Joya de Nicaragua, Nicaragua's historic cigar house. The cigar keeps its story at home, using Nicaraguan tobacco throughout its wrapper, binder and filler.

FUN FACT

This is a Nicaraguan puro - all three major tobacco components come from Nicaragua.

TALKING POINT

“A perfect introduction to the idea of a puro: one country from the outside through the core.”

04  MACANUDO INSPIRADO WHITE ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Inspirado White was designed to show that a smoother cigar can still offer complexity. Its pale Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper surrounds tobaccos from several origins.

FUN FACT

A pale wrapper does not automatically mean a boring cigar - and a dark wrapper does not automatically mean stronger.

TALKING POINT

“This challenges the idea that stronger always equals better.”

05  MONTOSA CLARO SHORT ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Montosa Claro brings several tobacco-growing countries together in one compact cigar, with tobacco connected to Ecuador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Indonesia.

FUN FACT

A cigar can be made in one country while containing tobacco grown across several others.

TALKING POINT

“Think of the blender like a chef - different origins become ingredients in one composition.”

WHAT KIND OF CIGAR DO I ENJOY?

06  MACANUDO INSPIRADO RED ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Inspirado Red gives a direct comparison with Inspirado White: same Macanudo family, similar format, but a very different direction, using an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and unusually aged filler tobaccos.

FUN FACT

Some tobacco in the blend has been aged for many years before becoming part of the cigar.

TALKING POINT

“If you've tried White, this shows how much a blend can change within one family.”

07  CAO NICARAGUA TIPITAPA

THE STORY

CAO Nicaragua was conceived as a celebration of Nicaragua's tobacco landscape. Its filler draws from important growing areas including Jalapa, Esteli and Condega.

FUN FACT

Those regions are discussed almost like wine regions because their growing conditions influence tobacco differently.

TALKING POINT

“This is where the idea of terroir starts becoming interesting in cigars.”

08  JOYA DE NICARAGUA CLASICO GORDITO

THE STORY

Clasico carries serious Nicaraguan history. Joya de Nicaragua traces its beginnings to 1968, and Clasico became the first Nicaraguan cigar exported from the country.

FUN FACT

Clasico was famously offered to guests at the White House during the Nixon era.

TALKING POINT

“You're smoking a line connected to the earliest international story of Nicaraguan premium cigars.”

09  JOYA DE NICARAGUA CABINETTA ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Cabinetta makes its story visible. Most of the cigar wears a light Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, while near the head it changes to darker Nicaraguan Habano Criollo.

FUN FACT

You're looking at two different wrapper tobaccos on one cigar.

TALKING POINT

“Watch what happens at the darker section and see whether you actually notice the change.”

10  ZINO NICARAGUA ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Zino Nicaragua represents a contemporary, relaxed approach to cigar culture - less about ceremony and more about cigars accompanying travel, friendship and experiences.

FUN FACT

The modern Zino identity deliberately leans into exploration and lifestyle.

TALKING POINT

“The memory of where and with whom you smoked it can become part of the story.”

WHY DO I ENJOY IT?

11  JOYA DE NICARAGUA SILVER ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Joya Silver brings together tobacco identities from Nicaragua, Ecuador and Mexico, reflecting Joya's contemporary approach to blending while coming from Nicaragua's oldest premium cigar manufacturer.

FUN FACT

One cigar can contain tobacco from several countries yet still be completely handmade in Nicaragua.

TALKING POINT

“Here we stop looking at individual ingredients and ask how well everything works together.”

12  ALEC & BRADLEY GATEKEEPER ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Gatekeeper came from collaboration. Brothers Alec and Bradley Rubin worked with celebrated cigar maker Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, gaining access to different tobacco, experience and another approach to blending.

FUN FACT

The name Gatekeeper reflects someone opening a gate to new knowledge and possibilities.

TALKING POINT

“It's about what happens when someone else's experience expands your own.”

13  ALEC BRADLEY BLACK MARKET ROBUSTO

THE STORY

Black Market began when unusual Panamanian tobacco caught the Alec Bradley team's attention. They spent more than a year experimenting to find the right blend around it.

FUN FACT

The team reportedly went through 18 test blends before arriving at Black Market.

TALKING POINT

“This cigar exists because they found an ingredient too interesting to ignore.”

14  JOYA DE NICARAGUA ANTANO GRAN RESERVA ROBUSTO GRANDE

THE STORY

Gran Reserva takes the powerful Antano idea and gives it a more mature interpretation, using extra-aged tobacco including filler aged for five years.

FUN FACT

Reserva is not a universal cigar grading system; what matters is what the manufacturer actually means by it.

TALKING POINT

“The question is whether you can experience what those extra years contribute.”

15  ARTURO FUENTE MAGNUM R VITOLA 58

THE STORY

Magnum R went against a trend toward ever-more-powerful cigars. Carlos Fuente Jr. pursued balance, flavour and refinement around an Ecuadorian Rosado Sungrown wrapper aged for years.

FUN FACT

Fuente says the defining wrapper is aged for nearly a decade.

TALKING POINT

“A great example of a cigar not needing to overpower you to make an impression.”

HOW FAR DO I WANT TO EXPLORE?

16  JOYA DE NICARAGUA ANTANO 1970 ROBUSTO GRANDE

THE STORY

Antano means 'yesteryear.' Joya created it as a tribute to the powerful Nicaraguan puros that helped establish the company's reputation in America during the 1970s.

FUN FACT

It's a true Nicaraguan puro - wrapper, binder and filler all come from Nicaragua.

TALKING POINT

“This is where the journey deliberately steps into serious Nicaraguan power.”

17  CAO AMAZON BASIN TORO

THE STORY

Amazon Basin contains rare Braganca tobacco grown in a remote region of the Brazilian Amazon, forming part of a multinational blend built around one of the collection's most unusual ingredients.

FUN FACT

CAO says Braganca is harvested only once every three years, and the rope-like band is made from tobacco.

TALKING POINT

“This probably has one of the best tobacco stories on the entire table.”

18  JOYA DE NICARAGUA CUATRO CINCO RESERVA ESPECIAL

THE STORY

Cuatro Cinco began as Joya de Nicaragua's 45th-anniversary project. Selected tobaccos were aged in vintage oak barrels, and the concept became the first entry in Joya's Obras Maestras - 'Masterpieces' - family.

FUN FACT

The name Cuatro Cinco literally references forty-five.

TALKING POINT

“This is one we've personally explored at YCG, including a pairing with Avante Cape Brandy XO.”

19  DREW ESTATE LIGA PRIVADA T52 ROBUSTO

THE STORY

T52 revolves around an unusual Connecticut-grown Habano wrapper harvested by cutting the entire tobacco plant rather than individual leaves. The thick wrapper then requires exceptionally long fermentation.

FUN FACT

Drew Estate says the T52 wrapper can undergo approximately 30-36 months of fermentation.

TALKING POINT

“Imagine waiting three years just for one component of the cigar to be ready.”

20  MY FATHER BLUE ROBUSTO

THE STORY

My Father Blue represents new territory for the Garcia family. After becoming strongly associated with Nicaragua, the family expanded into Honduras and acquired its first farm there: Finca La Opulencia.

FUN FACT

The blue presentation references the Honduran flag, while the secondary band marks the line's 2025 debut.

TALKING POINT

“This is basically a new chapter in the Garcia family's tobacco story.”

DO I TRUST MY OWN JUDGMENT?

21  JOYA DE NICARAGUA CINCO DECADAS EL CUMICHE

THE STORY

Cinco Decadas celebrates Joya de Nicaragua's five decades of cigar making. El Cumiche turns the story toward the future by honouring the younger generation carrying that legacy forward.

FUN FACT

El Cumiche means 'the young one,' and Joya keeps the precise tobacco recipe confidential.

TALKING POINT

“They'll tell you it's made from prized reserves - but not the complete recipe.”

22  ARTURO FUENTE RARE PINK VINTAGE 1960's

THE STORY

Rare Pink draws inspiration from Carlito Fuente's memories of the cultural energy and transformation of the 1960s, while also carrying a deeper purpose through breast-cancer awareness and charitable support.

FUN FACT

The pink identity is not simply a design choice - it connects to the purpose behind the project.

TALKING POINT

“This is one where the story goes far beyond what is inside the wrapper.”

23  LEAF BY OSCAR MADURO

THE STORY

Leaf by Oscar makes opening the cigar part of the experience. Instead of ordinary cellophane presentation, the finished cigar arrives protected inside another tobacco leaf.

FUN FACT

The outside tobacco leaf is protective packaging - it isn't the wrapper you're meant to smoke.

TALKING POINT

“You literally have to discover the cigar before you can smoke it.”

24  MY FATHER THE JUDGE

THE STORY

The Judge combines Garcia-family-grown Nicaraguan tobacco with a dark Sumatra Oscuro wrapper. Its label artwork was recreated from an antique Victorian lithograph.

FUN FACT

The artwork behind The Judge's distinctive label dates to 1905.

TALKING POINT

“By cigar number 24, the name is perfect - because now you're the judge.”

25  PLASENCIA ALMA FUERTE HEXAGONO

THE STORY

The Plasencia family's tobacco history stretches back to 1865. Alma Fuerte - 'Strong Soul' - is an all-Nicaraguan expression, while the Hexagono is immediately recognisable by its six-sided form.

FUN FACT

The Plasencia family has been connected to tobacco for more than 150 years - and yes, the cigar is deliberately hexagonal.

TALKING POINT

“A beautiful final story bringing together family, tobacco, Nicaragua, history and design.”
